The Dawson High School Baseball Booster volunteers to support the DHS baseball program at all levels. The board of directors guides the program and finances. Voting board seats are

the officers of the organization and are ideally fulfilled by senior, junior, sophomore, and

freshman parents.

What is the Dawson Baseball Boosters?

The baseball team, as well as the majority of other sports, receives funding from the school district. However, many times the amount received is not enough to adequately cover all of the expenses required to build a successful and productive program. So, the baseball team has a group of a dedicated volunteers working to support the program. These volunteers financially and physically assist the program in order for it to be the best it can be.

The Booster Club meets during the school year to discuss upcoming schedules, fundraisers,

donations, concessions, capital improvement projects, and other ways to help keep the

program going.

The basic mission of the Booster Club is to raise money and support the baseball program. The funds that the booster club receives are allocated towards the baseball team's needs,

which include supplies, equipment, uniforms and field maintenance, etc.

The following are a few examples of the projects that the Booster Club has funded and supported to date:

The establishment of an annual baseball scholarship fund for graduating Dawson baseball players.

Installation of the scoreboard.

Installation of the "halo kit" around home plate.

Expanding the batting cages.

Repainting the dugouts.

The purchase of new uniforms for all of the teams.
